I am so happy to be a new Giddy Giddy handmade baby and toddler hair accessories stockist!

One of my customers introduced me to Giddy Giddy, who are based in The States – California, and I placed an order with them the next day. I love anything that is unique, and it always inspires me to hear of other women’s stories where they have achieved a working life that is compatible with having a baby.

Teri Dimalanta, who owns Gidy Giddy, worked for many years in Investments but changed her career path following the birth of her daughter when inevitably she rediscovered the joy of making things, particularly anything that focused on taming and disguising her daughters unruly mohawk! The name Giddy Giddy was inspired by the Japanese-Hawaiian term “giri giri” which refers to a cowlick, or the little swirl in the back of a child’s hair.How delightful!

As well as lovely hair clips, there are also hair clip holders, pony tail bands and headbands in the range. Some of which are in the pics below.

Bébé Jour is having it’s very first late night shopping event tonight. Sadly the weather forecast is not good but I am sure the prospect of discounts and mince pies will still entice people to come and support their local shops! I’m keen to show a range of solid silver fingerprint jewellery that’s new in today. I purchased a piece for myself and loved it so much that I approached the jeweller and asked to become an agent. There is a fab range for Daddies (or other male relatives) that I haven’t seen anywhere else, including a trendy dogtag and guitar plectrum. I only want to stock the very best products on the market, and there aren’t many out there that can say that they are made by a professional jeweller, come hallmarked and made from solid silver with handmade clasps. Simply divine!

I am very impressed with some of the mums who have visited my shop Bébé Jour this week. Some nearly have all their Christmas shopping completed! Loads of the new no added sugar has been snapped up, and the Belle and Boo ‘Bubbles Before Bed – To Do Book’ has also been very popular. They are the perfect gift for little girls who love creative, imaginary and role play. Some of the mummies still love to get involved too. With the wind and rain howling outside, I can’t think of a nicer way to spend the afternoon!
